Famous Birthdays FAQ
Who was born on this day?
The "Famous People Born Today" section lists notable actors, musicians, writers, scientists, leaders, sports stars and historical figures who share today’s UK date as their birthday, sourced from Wikipedia/Wikimedia.
Which famous people were born today?
Scroll through the card grid above to see today’s notable birthdays, each with a short description and category such as Actor, Musician, Writer or Scientist.
Does this page use the UK date?
Yes. The page is based on the current date in the UK time zone (Europe/London), and the featured people update automatically at UK midnight.
Where does the birthday data come from?
Data is sourced from the Wikipedia/Wikimedia "On This Day" births feed where available. Each card links to its source article for further reading.
Can I search another date?
Yes. Use the "Choose Another Date" picker or the month browser further down the page to see notable birthdays for any day of the year.
Why are some people more well known than others?
Results are prioritised by how complete their source data is — people with descriptions, thumbnails and source links appear first — but recognition is naturally subjective.
Are ages always shown?
No. TimeInUK does not guess whether someone is alive. Ages are only ever shown when the underlying source data clearly and reliably confirms it, so most entries show birth year only.
Can more than one famous person share the same birthday?
Yes, it’s common for several notable people to share the same birth date — the page shows every notable entry returned for that date.
